A fixed lens welding helmet uses a lens box that is permanently mounted to the hood shell, meaning it does not flip up or pivot during use. This provides a consistent viewing position every time you put the hood on. While the lens box itself is fixed, the lens inside can still be swapped out for different shades or specialty lenses like our Golden Arm lens.
Turnaround is usually around just 2-3 business days to build your fixed welding helmet and ship it out of our facility in Texas, with our fast shipping time added on after that. The short lead time means that you’ll get a handcrafted, one-of-a-kind welding hood without the long wait. If you would like to overnight an item, reach out to us directly so we can arrange to do so.
Shop Fixed Lens Welding Helmets
Unlike flip-up designs, fixed lens box welding hoods use a non-hinged lens box that is permanently mounted to the hood shell. This means the lens box will not move or pivot while in use. The lens itself can be changed out to fit the user's preferred shade, but the box will remain fixed in place.
It's important to note that these are not fixed shade welding hoods; the lens box is fixed and is compatible with fixed shade welding lenses and automatic welding lenses as long as they are 2X4 1/4.
Built for Consistency
This is the type of hood preferred by seasoned welders who weld more than they grind, such as pipeliners and shop welders. The fixed lens box design is available on our carbon fiber hoods, built to stay comfortable over long shifts.
