With a shell made in-house in the USA and crafted from a blend of polymer fibers, our trimmed bottom sugar scoop is built to handle the toughest job sites, providing exceptional durability, protection, and comfort for those who wear it.

This trimmed bottom welding hood combines the traditional sugar scoop shape with a slightly slimmer bottom profile to give welders a bit more freedom to move while working without needing to go to a fully chopped bottom hood. With approximately one inch removed from the bottom of the shell, this helmet helps reduce the annoyance of your hood constantly digging into your chest or collarbone when you’re trying to look down at your welds or switching positions in those tight, awkward shop spaces. The modest cut also means less of the bottom slamming into your chest when flipping your hood back down.

Which Lens Box is Right for You?

The lens box configuration you choose depends on both your work style and your personal preference. Both options are compatible with the standard 2”x4.25” fixed shade and automatic welding lenses to make it easier to swap in different shades or specialty lenses.

• Choose the flip-up lens box if you frequently need to inspect your welds, grind, or want to see clearly between welds without having to completely remove your hood. The hinged lens box allows you to switch between a shaded welding view and a clear view with ease. Perfect for students and refinery welders.
• Choose the fixed lens box if you prefer a more traditional hood setup. The fixed lens welding hood has a lens box that is part of the shell for a consistent field of vision every time you put it on. It works best for those who weld more than they grind, like pipeliners, shop welders, etc.
